Semazen

Semazen

Semazen is a sema dancer, while sema means whirling dervish dance. The dancer or semazen spin around and around and around.. I believe you ever see sema dance, at least once in television. It's an eye-catchy dance that can make me feel dizzy just by looking at it. No offense.

In this photo you can see a tiny scluptures represent semazen and music insturumet performances. The description (see that white paper?) said that sema dance is a contemplated dance from sufi named Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. The unique dance reflecting meditation, inspired by solar system.

Don't semazen feel dizzy after dancing? I wonder..
